The Rimac Nevera R represents a focused evolution of the record-breaking Nevera hypercar, engineered to elevate cornering performance and driver engagement. Building upon the foundation of its predecessor, the Nevera R integrates next-generation Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV), advanced braking systems, and a performance-oriented battery architecture, delivering a staggering 2,107 hp. This enhanced setup enables the Nevera R to achieve straight-line acceleration even more rapidly than the original, reaching 300 km/h (186 mph) in a mere 8.66 seconds.
Mate Rimac, Founder and President of the Rimac Group, CEO Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Technology, explained the impetus behind the Nevera R: “When we developed the Nevera, an important part of the brief was that it should be a Grand Tourer. We made sure it was spacious, comfortable and finely balanced between thrilling and accessible. Ultimately what we achieved struck that balance perfectly; a high-performance record-breaking car that could set new benchmarks at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and be driven comfortably thousands of miles across continents. It was a watershed moment in automotive performance; the world’s first production all-electric hypercar, single-handedly leading a new generation. But we’re relentlessly tweaking to customers’ desires, and many were looking for a car that really emphasized the Nevera’s cornering ability, using all the advanced technology on-board. We responded with the Nevera R: all the DNA of the record-breaking Nevera, but lighter, faster and more focused.”
Rimac designers and engineers meticulously re-engineered key elements of the Nevera to transition it further into the hyper sports car domain. The Nevera R features more focused driving dynamics, a performance-oriented battery, increased power output, and more advanced braking mechanisms. This enhanced performance is visually communicated through a design language driven by function and refined by aesthetic.
Characterized by clean surfaces and a commitment to perfect proportions, the Nevera R presents a lower, sleeker silhouette with a forward-thrusting stance, accentuated by 21-inch rear and 20-inch front wheels. The front fascia is both striking and technical, with horizontal lines that enhance aerodynamic efficiency, stance, and width. This design is the result of close collaboration between designers and engineers, seamlessly integrating sensual surfacing with precise graphics. The side profile exhibits a harmonious interplay of body color and carbon fiber, contributing to a timeless, dynamic aesthetic. The wheels feature novel designs with extended spokes to emphasize their size and distinctive color splits. A substantial fixed rear wing, coupled with an aggressive aero package including a new, larger diffuser, contributes to a 15% increase in downforce and a 10% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency. The integration of new Michelin Cup 2 tires reduces total understeer by 10%, enhances lateral grip by 5%, and results in a 3.8-second reduction in lap times around the Nardo Handling Track. Through this synergy of negative camber, augmented tire grip, and increased downforce, the Nevera R is poised to redefine dynamic capabilities. Every component, conceived through a performance-centric design philosophy, has been reimagined for enhanced agility and handling.
The Nevera R delivers amplified performance with an intensified focus on driver feedback. It offers sharper, more precise cornering, facilitated by the re-tuned R-AWTV system, which is optimized to exploit the full potential of the high-performance tires. Increased downforce provides superior stability and lateral performance, establishing a new benchmark for exhilarating driving on challenging B-roads and occasional track excursions. The traction control system has been revised to broaden the R-AWTV’s capabilities, ensuring predictability even in adverse wet conditions. Drift mode has been recalibrated for the new tires, and the steering system has been refined for a more immediate response and crisper feedback.
Constructed around the next-generation 108 kWh Rimac battery pack, the Nevera R utilizes cutting-edge technology to deliver enhanced power and efficiency within a new, lighter package. With 2,107 hp available, it surpasses the record-breaking Nevera in acceleration. The new EVO2 brakes are carbon-ceramic with a silicone matrix layer, ensuring superior stopping performance, cooling efficiency, and durability under strenuous use.

Initially launched in Nebula green, the Nevera R embodies a visual progression of Rimac’s design narrative, translating the “Time Attack” edition’s Lightning Green highlights into a new color palette for both interior and exterior. The driver-centric, highly customizable interior of the Nevera has been enhanced with additional color and trim options. Painted carbon fiber elements, such as the main dashboard structure and center console trims, can be specified to match the exterior color or personalized according to customer preference.
Production of the Nevera R will be strictly limited to 40 units globally.
