The Rimac Nevera R elevates the groundbreaking performance of its predecessor, the record-breaking Nevera, by prioritizing enhanced cornering dynamics and an even more focused driving experience. Equipped with next-generation Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV) and advanced braking systems, coupled with a performance-oriented battery and an astonishing 2,107 hp, the Nevera R is engineered to excel in dynamic cornering situations. This refinement also contributes to its straighter-line acceleration, achieving 0-300 km/h (186 mph) in an astonishing 8.66 seconds, surpassing the already remarkable speed of the original Nevera.
“When we developed the Nevera, a core objective was to create a Grand Tourer. We ensured it offered spaciousness, comfort, and a perfect equilibrium between exhilarating performance and accessibility. This balance was achieved with the original Nevera, resulting in a high-performance, record-setting car capable of setting new benchmarks at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and undertaking transcontinental journeys in comfort. It represented a paradigm shift in automotive performance, introducing the world’s first production all-electric hypercar and initiating a new era. However, we are committed to continuously refining our offerings based on customer feedback. Many expressed a desire for a vehicle that further amplifies the Nevera’s cornering prowess by leveraging its advanced onboard technology. In response, we introduce the Nevera R: embodying the core DNA of the record-breaking Nevera, yet lighter, faster, and more singularly focused,” stated Mate Rimac, Founder and President of the Rimac Group, CEO of Bugatti Rimac, and Rimac Technology.
Rimac’s designers and engineers conducted a comprehensive review of the Nevera’s characteristics, subsequently re-engineering key elements to position the R further into the hyper sports car segment. With a more focused driving dynamic, a re-calibrated performance-oriented battery, increased power output, and more sophisticated braking systems, the Nevera R also presents a distinct visual identity driven by performance and refined through meticulous design.
Characterized by clean surfacing and an emphasis on perfect proportions, the Nevera R projects a lower, sleeker silhouette with a forward-thrusting stance, distinguished by 21-inch rear wheels and 20-inch front wheels. The front fascia is designed to be both visually striking and technically precise, featuring horizontal lines that enhance aerodynamic efficiency, overall stance, and width. This design was achieved through close collaboration between design and engineering teams, integrating sensual surfacing and precise graphical elements into the front clam. From a side profile, the Nevera R exhibits a harmonious interplay between body color and carbon fiber, contributing to its timeless and dynamic aesthetic. The wheels feature updated designs with extended spokes to accentuate their size and distinct two-tone color splits. The prominent fixed rear wing, complemented by an aggressive aero package including a new, larger diffuser, enhances downforce by 15% and aerodynamic efficiency by 10%. The implementation of new Michelin Cup 2 tires results in a 10% reduction in total understeer, a 5% increase in lateral grip, and a 3.8-second improvement in lap time around the Nardo Handling Track. This combination of negative camber, the enhanced grip from the new tires, and increased downforce readies the Nevera R to redefine the limits of physics. Every component has been re-evaluated through a performance-driven design philosophy to optimize agility and handling.
The Nevera R delivers amplified performance with an even greater emphasis on driver feedback. It offers sharper, more precise cornering thanks to the re-tuned R-AWTV system, optimized to maximize the potential of the high-performance tires. Increased downforce contributes to enhanced stability and lateral performance, establishing a new benchmark for driving exhilaration on winding roads and occasional track use. The traction control system has been revised to expand the capabilities of the R-AWTV, ensuring predictable handling even in wet conditions. The drift mode has been recalibrated to accommodate the new tires, and the steering system has been refined for a more responsive and immediate feedback to the driver.
Constructed around the next-generation 108 kWh Rimac battery pack, the Nevera R utilizes cutting-edge technology to deliver increased power and efficiency within a new, lighter architecture. With an available 2,107 hp, it achieves acceleration figures even faster than the original record-holding Nevera. The new EVO2 brakes feature a carbon-ceramic construction with a silicone matrix layer, ensuring superior stopping performance, thermal management, and durability under demanding usage.

Introduced in Nebula Green, the Nevera R represents a visual progression of the Rimac brand narrative, translating the “Lightning Green” accents of the Time Attack model into a new color palette for both the interior and exterior. The driver-centric, highly customizable interior of the Nevera has been enhanced with additional color and trim options. Painted carbon fiber elements, such as the main dashboard structure and center console trims, can be specified to match the exterior color or be personalized according to customer preferences.
The production of the Nevera R will be strictly limited to 40 units globally.
