The Rimac Nevera R represents an evolutionary leap in hypercar performance, engineered to amplify the already record-breaking capabilities of the Nevera. Developed with a singular focus on cornering prowess, it integrates next-generation Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring, advanced braking systems, and a performance-oriented battery delivering an astonishing 2,107 hp. This recalibration not only enhances its straight-line acceleration, achieving 300 km/h (186 mph) in a mere 8.66 seconds, but fundamentally redefines its dynamic potential.
Mate Rimac, Founder and President of the Rimac Group, CEO Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Technology, stated, “When we developed the Nevera, an important part of the brief was that it should be a Grand Tourer. We made sure it was spacious, comfortable and finely balanced between thrilling and accessible. Ultimately what we achieved struck that balance perfectly; a high-performance record-breaking car that could set new benchmarks at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and be driven comfortably thousands of miles across continents. It was a watershed moment in automotive performance; the world’s first production all-electric hypercar, single-handedly leading a new generation. But we’re relentlessly tweaking to customers’ desires, and many were looking for a car that really emphasized the Nevera’s cornering ability, using all the advanced technology on-board. We responded with the Nevera R: all the DNA of the record-breaking Nevera, but lighter, faster and more focused.”
Rimac designers and engineers meticulously re-engineered key elements of the Nevera to elevate it further into the hyper sports car domain. The Nevera R features a more focused driving dynamic, a performance-optimized battery, increased power output, and enhanced braking capabilities. Visually, it embodies a performance-driven aesthetic refined through meticulous design.
Characterized by clean surfaces and precise proportions, the Nevera R presents a lower, sleeker profile with an assertive forward-thrusting stance, complemented by 21-inch rear and 20-inch front wheels. The front fascia is sculpted for both visual impact and aerodynamic efficiency, employing horizontal lines to emphasize its stance and width. This design is the result of close collaboration between design and engineering teams, seamlessly integrating sensual surfacing with precise graphical elements. The side profile showcases a harmonious interplay between body color and carbon fiber, contributing to its timeless, dynamic silhouette. The new wheel designs, featuring extended spokes, accentuate their size and distinct color splits. A prominent fixed rear wing and an aggressive aerodynamic package, including a new, larger diffuser, augment downforce by 15% and aerodynamic efficiency by 10%. Equipped with new Michelin Cup 2 tires, the Nevera R achieves a 10% reduction in total understeer, a 5% increase in lateral grip, and a 3.8-second improvement in lap times around the Nardo Handling Track. This combination of optimized negative camber, enhanced tire grip, and increased downforce allows the Nevera R to push the boundaries of physics. Every component has been re-engineered with an emphasis on agility and handling, driven by a performance-centric design philosophy.
The Nevera R delivers enhanced performance with a heightened focus on driver engagement. Sharper, more precise cornering is achieved through the re-tuned next-generation Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV) system, optimized to leverage the full potential of the high-performance tires. Increased downforce provides superior stability and lateral performance, setting a new standard for exhilarating driving on challenging B-roads and occasional track excursions. The traction control system has been revised to expand the capabilities of the R-AWTV, ensuring predictable handling even in wet conditions. Drift mode has been recalibrated for the new tires, and the steering system has been refined to offer a sharper response and more precise feedback to the driver.
Constructed around the next-generation 108kWh Rimac battery pack, the Nevera R utilizes advanced technology for increased power and efficiency in a lighter package. With 2,107 hp on tap, it surpasses the acceleration of the record-breaking Nevera. The new EVO2 brakes, featuring carbon ceramic rotors with a silicone matrix layer, ensure superior stopping performance, cooling, and durability under extreme usage.

The Nevera R, presented in Nebula green, signifies a visual evolution of the Rimac brand, translating the “Time Attack” edition’s Lightning Green accents into a refined color palette for both the exterior and interior. The driver-centric, highly customizable interior has been updated with expanded color and trim options. Painted carbon fiber elements, such as the main dashboard structure and center console trims, can be specified to match the exterior color or personalized according to customer preferences.
Production of the Nevera R will be strictly limited to 40 units globally.
