Rimac designers and engineers undertook a comprehensive evaluation of the Nevera’s characteristics, re-engineering key elements to propel it further into the hyper sports car domain. Featuring more focused driving dynamics, a performance-optimized battery, increased power output, and more advanced braking systems, the Nevera R also embodies a distinct visual identity, driven by performance and refined through meticulous design.
Characterized by clean surfaces and an emphasis on achieving perfect proportions, the Nevera R presents a lower, sleeker silhouette with a forward-thrusting stance, complemented by 21-inch rear wheels and 20-inch front wheels. The front fascia is designed to be both striking and technically sophisticated, with horizontal lines that accentuate aerodynamic efficiency, stance, and width. This aesthetic was achieved through close collaboration between designers and engineers, seamlessly integrating sensual surfacing and precise graphical elements into the front clam. The side profile of the Nevera R showcases a harmonious interplay of body color and carbon fiber, contributing to its timeless, dynamic appearance. The wheels feature new designs with extended spokes to emphasize their size and distinct color splits. The substantial fixed rear wing, coupled with an aggressive aerodynamic package including a new, larger diffuser, enhances downforce by 15% and aerodynamic efficiency by 10%. Equipped with new Michelin Cup 2 tires, the Nevera R achieves a 10% reduction in total understeer, a 5% increase in lateral grip, and a 3.8-second improvement in lap times around the Nardo Handling Track. Through this synergistic combination of negative camber, enhanced tire grip, and increased downforce, the Nevera R is poised to redefine the limits of automotive agility. The Nevera R delivers elevated performance with an intensified focus on driver feedback. It offers sharper, more precise cornering capabilities due to the re-tuned, next-generation All-Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV) system, engineered to maximize the potential of its high-performance tires. Increased downforce contributes to enhanced stability and lateral performance, establishing a new benchmark for driving exhilaration on challenging B-roads and for occasional track excursions. The traction control system has been revised to expand the operational envelope of the R-AWTV, ensuring predictable handling even in adverse wet conditions. The drift mode has been recalibrated to accommodate the new tires, and the steering system has been refined for sharper response and more immediate feedback to the driver.
Constructed around the next-generation 108kWh Rimac battery pack, the Nevera R utilizes cutting-edge technology to deliver increased power and efficiency within a new, lighter architecture. Launched in Nebula Green, the Nevera R represents a visual progression of the Rimac narrative, translating the Time Attack’s Lightning Green accents into a refined palette for both interior and exterior. The driver-centric, highly customizable interior of the Nevera has been enhanced with additional color and trim options. Painted carbon fiber elements, such as the primary dashboard structure and center console accents, can be coordinated with the exterior paintwork or personalized according to customer preference.
Production of the Nevera R will be strictly limited to 40 units globally.
