The Rimac Nevera R represents a focused evolution of the record-breaking Nevera hypercar, engineered with an enhanced emphasis on cornering agility and track performance. Building upon the foundational DNA of its predecessor, the Nevera R introduces a lighter, faster, and more dynamic driving experience, catering to customer desires for a vehicle that maximizes the inherent capabilities of its advanced technology.
Mate Rimac, Founder and President of the Rimac Group, CEO Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Technology, stated, “When we developed the Nevera, an important part of the brief was that it should be a Grand Tourer. We made sure it was spacious, comfortable and finely balanced between thrilling and accessible. Ultimately what we achieved struck that balance perfectly; a high-performance record-breaking car that could set new benchmarks at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and be driven comfortably thousands of miles across continents. It was a watershed moment in automotive performance; the world’s first production all-electric hypercar, single-handedly leading a new generation. But we’re relentlessly tweaking to customers’ desires, and many were looking for a car that really emphasized the Nevera’s cornering ability, using all the advanced technology on-board. We responded with the Nevera R: all the DNA of the record-breaking Nevera, but lighter, faster and more focused.”
Rimac designers and engineers have meticulously re-engineered key elements of the Nevera to elevate its hyper sports car credentials. The Nevera R features a more performance-oriented battery system, increased power output to 2,107 hp, and advanced braking systems designed for enhanced stopping performance, cooling, and durability. These technical enhancements are complemented by a refined visual identity that accentuates its performance-driven nature.
The exterior design of the Nevera R is characterized by clean surfaces and precise proportions, projecting a lower, sleeker stance with a forward-thrusting presence. This is further accentuated by its staggered wheel setup: 21-inch rear wheels and 20-inch front wheels. The front fascia incorporates horizontal lines to emphasize aerodynamic efficiency, stance, and width, a result of close collaboration between design and engineering teams to seamlessly integrate aerodynamic functionality with aesthetic appeal. The side profile exhibits a harmonious interplay between body color and carbon fiber, contributing to a dynamic and timeless silhouette. New wheel designs with extended spokes enhance their visual impact, featuring distinct color splits. A prominent fixed rear wing, coupled with an aggressive aero package including a new, larger diffuser, increases downforce by 15% and aerodynamic efficiency by 10%. These aerodynamic refinements, in conjunction with new Michelin Cup 2 tires, reduce total understeer by 10% and increase lateral grip by 5%, contributing to a 3.8-second reduction in lap time around the Nardo Handling Track. The combination of negative camber, enhanced tire grip, and increased downforce equips the Nevera R to redefine the limits of physics through agile and responsive handling.
The Nevera R delivers a heightened performance experience with an increased focus on driver feedback. The next-generation Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV) system has been retuned to optimize the potential of the high-performance tires, enabling sharper and more precise cornering. The augmented downforce contributes to enhanced stability and lateral performance, setting a new benchmark for driving engagement on challenging roads and occasional track excursions. The traction control system has been revised to broaden the capabilities of the R-AWTV, ensuring predictability even in adverse weather conditions. The drift mode has been recalibrated for compatibility with the new tires, and the steering system has undergone refinement for a more responsive and direct connection to the driver.
At its core, the Nevera R is powered by the next-generation 108 kWh Rimac battery pack. This advanced system not only delivers increased power and efficiency but is also housed in a lighter package. With an available 2,107 hp, the Nevera R achieves even faster acceleration than the record-setting Nevera. The new EVO2 brakes, constructed from carbon-ceramic with a silicone matrix layer, provide superior stopping power, improved cooling, and enhanced durability for demanding usage.

Launched in Nebula green, the Nevera R’s exterior aesthetic is an evolution of Rimac’s design language, translating the Time Attack’s Lightning Green highlights into a sophisticated new color palette that extends to the interior. The driver-centric and highly customizable interior of the Nevera has been enhanced with additional color and trim options. Painted carbon fiber elements, including the main dashboard structure and center console trims, can be specified to match the exterior color or be personalized according to customer preference.
The production of the Rimac Nevera R will be strictly limited to 40 units globally.
