While typically a preference for drivers, this arrangement offers a valuable opportunity to observe the car’s behaviour and performance prior to taking the helm, a process built on trust and respect.
The chosen route, the Futa Pass, a segment of the historic Mille Miglia, located a short distance from Pagani’s HQ, proved to be an ideal setting for experiencing the Utopia. Even from the passenger seat, the experience was captivating. The ride quality exhibited a surprising suppleness, and while the V12 was ever-present, its power was delivered with a refined control at lower speeds, escalating dramatically when demanded. Paganis have consistently prioritized the road-going experience, and the Utopia elevates this with a new benchmark in refinement, seamlessly integrated with its formidable performance capabilities.
Scilla elaborated on the meticulous development of the manual transmission, emphasizing the critical importance of shift quality and clutch feel. Driving the Pagani Utopia Roadster
Pagani has a history of producing open-top variants of its flagship models, but the Utopia marks the first instance where the coupe and Roadster designs were developed concurrently. The dry weight remains identical to the coupe at 1280kg, with Pagani’s expertise in carbon fibre construction ensuring exceptional tub rigidity without the need for additional reinforcement.
