The Rimac Nevera R represents a significant evolution of the record-breaking Nevera hypercar, engineered with a heightened focus on cornering dynamics and an intensified performance envelope. Building upon the established foundation of the Nevera, the R variant introduces advancements in its all-wheel torque vectoring, braking systems, and battery architecture to deliver a more track-oriented experience without compromising its Grand Tourer credentials.
“When we developed the Nevera, an important part of the brief was that it should be a Grand Tourer. We made sure it was spacious, comfortable and finely balanced between thrilling and accessible. Ultimately what we achieved struck that balance perfectly; a high-performance record-breaking car that could set new benchmarks at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and be driven comfortably thousands of miles across continents. It was a watershed moment in automotive performance; the world’s first production all-electric hypercar, single-handedly leading a new generation. But we’re relentlessly tweaking to customers’ desires, and many were looking for a car that really emphasized the Nevera’s cornering ability, using all the advanced technology on-board. We responded with the Nevera R: all the DNA of the record-breaking Nevera, but lighter, faster and more focused.”

Rimac’s design and engineering teams have meticulously refined the Nevera’s characteristics, re-engineering key elements to position the Nevera R further into the hyper sports car segment. Enhanced driving dynamics, a performance-optimized battery, increased power output, and more sophisticated braking systems are complemented by a visual identity that underscores its performance capabilities while maintaining aesthetic refinement.
The Nevera R features a design characterized by clean surfaces and meticulously crafted proportions, presenting a lower, sleeker profile with a forward-thrusting stance. This visual emphasis is reinforced by its staggered wheel setup, featuring 21-inch rear wheels and 20-inch front wheels. The front fascia is both striking and technically astute, with horizontal lines that enhance aerodynamic efficiency, stance, and width, a result of close collaboration between designers and engineers who integrated sensual surfacing with precise graphics into the front clam. The side profile exhibits a harmonious interplay between body color and carbon fiber, contributing to its timeless, dynamic silhouette. The wheels are distinguished by new designs with elongated spokes to accentuate their size and feature distinct color splits. A prominent fixed rear wing, coupled with an aggressive aerodynamic package including a new, larger diffuser, increases downforce by 15% and aerodynamic efficiency by 10%. Equipped with new Michelin Cup 2 tires, the Nevera R achieves a 10% reduction in total understeer, a 5% increase in lateral grip, and a 3.8-second improvement in lap times around the Nardo Handling Track. This combination of negative camber, enhanced tire grip, and increased downforce enables the Nevera R to redefine the limits of automotive agility and handling, with every element meticulously crafted through a performance-driven design philosophy.
The Nevera R delivers an elevated performance experience with an amplified focus on driver engagement. It provides sharper, more precise cornering capabilities through the next-generation All-Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV) system, recalibrated to maximize the potential of its high-performance tires. Increased downforce contributes to enhanced stability and lateral performance, setting a new standard for dynamic driving on challenging roads and occasional track excursions. The traction control system has been revised to expand the R-AWTV’s operational range, ensuring predictable handling even in adverse conditions. The drift mode has been optimized for the new tire specifications, and the steering system has been refined for improved responsiveness and crisper feedback to the driver.
Utilizing the next-generation 108kWh Rimac battery pack, the Nevera R harnesses cutting-edge technology for increased power and efficiency within a lighter package. With an output of 2,107 hp, it surpasses the acceleration capabilities of the record-holding Nevera. The new EVO2 brakes, constructed from carbon-ceramic with a silicone matrix layer, ensure superior stopping performance, enhanced cooling, and increased durability under demanding usage.

Introduced in Nebula Green, the Nevera R signifies a visual progression in Rimac’s design language, translating the “Lightning Green” accents of the Time Attack model into a refined color palette for both interior and exterior. The driver-centric, highly customizable interior of the Nevera has been enhanced with additional color and trim options. Painted carbon fiber elements, such as the primary dashboard structure and center console trims, can be color-matched to the exterior or personalized according to customer preference.
The production run of the Nevera R will be strictly limited to 40 units globally.
