Rimac designers and engineers have undertaken a comprehensive re-evaluation of the Nevera’s inherent characteristics, re-engineering key elements to elevate it further into the hyper sports car category. The Nevera R distinguishes itself with more focused driving dynamics, a performance-optimized battery, increased power output, and enhanced braking systems. This enhanced performance is complemented by a distinct visual identity that is both performance-driven and refined through meticulous design.
Characterized by clean surfacing and a focus on achieving perfect proportions, the Nevera R presents a lower, sleeker silhouette and a forward-leaning stance, accentuated by its 21-inch rear and 20-inch front wheels. The front fascia is designed to be both striking and technically sophisticated, employing horizontal lines that emphasize aerodynamic efficiency, stance, and width. This design is the result of close interdisciplinary collaboration between designers and engineers, seamlessly integrating sensual surfacing with precise graphical elements into the front clam. The side profile of the Nevera R exhibits a harmonious interplay of body color and carbon fiber, contributing to its timeless and dynamic aesthetic. The wheels feature an updated design with elongated spokes to emphasize their size and incorporate distinct color splits. Equipped with new Michelin Cup 2 tires, the Nevera R achieves a 10% reduction in total understeer, a 5% increase in lateral grip, and a 3.8-second improvement in lap times around the Nardo Handling Track. The Nevera R delivers elevated performance with an intensified focus on driver feedback. It offers sharper, more precise cornering capabilities facilitated by the recalibrated next-generation All-Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV) system, optimized to maximize the potential of its high-performance tires. Increased downforce provides enhanced stability and lateral performance, establishing a new benchmark for driving exhilaration on challenging B-roads and occasional track excursions. The traction control system has been revised to expand the operational envelope of the R-AWTV, ensuring predictable handling even in adverse wet conditions. The drift mode has been adjusted to accommodate the new tires, and the steering system has been refined for a more direct response and crisper feedback.
Constructed around the next-generation 108kWh Rimac battery pack, the Nevera R harnesses cutting-edge technology to deliver superior power and efficiency within a newly developed, lighter package. With an available 2,107 hp, it surpasses the acceleration capabilities of the record-holding Nevera. Launched in Nebula Green, the Nevera R represents a visual progression of the Rimac narrative, translating the Time Attack’s Lightning Green accents into a new interior and exterior color palette. The driver-centric, highly customizable interior of the Nevera has been enhanced with additional color and trim options. Painted carbon fiber elements, such as the main dashboard structure and center console accents, can be specified to match the exterior color or be personalized according to customer preference.
Production of the Nevera R will be strictly limited to 40 units globally.
