Our introduction to the Utopia began in the passenger seat, a position that, while not ideal for initial driving impressions, offered a unique perspective on the car’s inherent qualities and the meticulous handover process. This trust-based exchange provided invaluable insights into the Utopia’s behaviour prior to taking the helm.
The chosen route, the Futa Pass, a legendary segment of the Mille Miglia and a familiar testing ground near Pagani’s HQ, offered an ideal setting to experience the Utopia with a degree of discretion. Accompanied by Aston Parrott and Sebastian Berridi in the camera car, the journey commenced on the autostrada, a prelude that already generated a sense of heightened anticipation.
Even from the passenger seat, the Utopia delivered a captivating experience. Its ride quality exceeded expectations, offering a suppleness not always associated with hypercars. While the V12 engine’s presence was always discernible, it remained commendably restrained at lower speeds and throttle inputs, reserving its formidable power for when it was truly unleashed. Pagani has consistently prioritized the road-going experience, and the Utopia elevates this commitment with an unparalleled blend of refinement and breathtaking performance.

Driving the Pagani Utopia Roadster
Unlike previous Pagani models, the Utopia Roadster was conceived concurrently with the coupe, resulting in a vehicle with even fewer compromises. Its dry weight remains an identical 1280kg, with Pagani’s expertise in carbon fibre construction ensuring exceptional tub rigidity without the need for supplementary reinforcement. As with the coupe, the Utopia Roadster meets global homologation standards for safety and emissions.
Production numbers and pricing have been adjusted for the Roadster variant. Each of the 130 units will be priced at £3.1 million, with an anticipated annual production rate of 50 to 60 vehicles.
